Short Game Improvement
60% of your golf shots are from 60 yards and in…
Statistics tell us that in a typical round of golf, over 60% of our final score is in our short game shots: putting, chipping, greenside bunkers shots and pitch shots from 60 yards or less. I call it the “60/60 rule”. So why do some players spend the majority of their practice time on the range and rarely spend time on and around the practice green? If they knew the 60/60 rule, they would spend 60% of their time on shots 60 yards and in. Here are some other questions to ponder:
Do you miss too many putts from 5 feet or less?
Do you “skull”, “chunk”, or miss-hit your wedges?
Do you struggle to get close from greenside bunkers?
Are you indecisive with club or shot selection from 30-70 yards?
If so, the Short Game Improvement clinic may be just the remedy for your game.
Short Game Improvement Clinic
Remember the expression, “Drive for show, putt….?” It’s true, Believe Me. I’ve been playing the game of golf for nearly 50 years, and it probably took me at least 30 of them to fully embrace the expression my father, John Trujillo, Sr., taught me not-so-long ago.
The Short Game Improvement series addresses the 4 major areas of the short game: Putting, Chipping, Pitching and Bunker Play. Solid techniques as well as common pitfalls will be covered, including drills that will help you improve each part of your short game. The cost: $249 for six hours of specialized instruction. Get ready to lower your handicap and contact PGA Certified Golf Professional John Trujillo by e-mail or at 719-963-0327 to sign up today!
